Residency for investors in Oman: an overview

For many founders, setting up a company and living in Oman go hand in hand. There are two main routes.

Investor visa through your company

Once your company is registered and licensed, it can sponsor an investor visa for its owners. After the medical test and biometrics, you receive a resident card — and you can then sponsor visas for your family.

Long-term investor residency

Oman also offers a long-term residency programme for qualifying investors, often called the golden visa. Eligibility depends on the type and size of the investment, and the residence is granted for several years at a time.

Good to know

The criteria and fees are set by the authorities and are updated from time to time. Check the current rules for your situation before making a decision — this article is an overview, not legal advice.

Oman Register supports clients with both routes, from the first application to the resident card.
